I think I've mentioned before that we live across from a park. We like to walk through the park to get to school because it's more direct than walking all the way around. We weren't able to do this last year because the snow was too deep and it didn't save us any time to walk through it.
Earlier this year it snowed, and then melted, and then froze over for a few weeks. That made it interesting to walk across to get to campus because we were slipping and sliding everywhere! This last weekend it snowed twice, and we got a couple of inches. Before I could go out and construct my very first snowman of my whole life, however...
...it melted. just about all of it. And all of that snow melted means inches of water, not just soggy grass. It was impossible to walk through without using rainboots, or waders, or a canoe...
I have never seen the grass so mushy! It was icky! What was ironic was that the sidewalks were still icy and slippery, so we still had to be careful not to fall on our faces...
This morning, however... it went right back to being completely frozen over. Oh, midwest, how bipolar you are!
In other news... I added penguins and grizzly bears to my zoo last night... hahaha! And my lions keep reproducing like rabbits- I've had over a hundred lions in my zoo, not all at once though because I keep selling them to reduce their numbers... I'm thinking of getting rid of them entirely and putting some other savannah animal in there instead. (I'm not even sure why I'm telling you this. Probably because I just don't want to go to class...)
In other other news... IT'S THURSDAY! Almost the weekend again! And I have the best husband ever! And the sun came out today! Woohoo!
